The inhus garden office range do not require planning permission.

Garden office buildings are classed as sectional buildings and are not a permanent structure.

*There are circumstances when your local planning office needs to be consulted:

  • If you intend to locate your inhus within 5 metres of your house.
  • If your inhus takes up more than 50% percent of your garden area.
  • If you live in a building that is listed or within a Conservation area.
  • If your home is in a National Park, an area of outstanding national beauty or the Norfolk broads.
  • If the position of your inhus garden building is between the highway and your property.
  • If you cannot position your inhus garden building 1metre from any garden boundary.
  • If your inhus is not for residential private use.
  • You will need to apply for planning if the garden building is larger in floor area than 30 square metres

    Inhus can be supplied up to 30 square metres in size without planning permission.
